- This is a custom-designed beer stein, created by George C. Hines to celebrate the Clubs of Boathouse Row. There is an accompanying note which says, "The Home of Champions, Old and New. Since 1858, Philadelphia's Boathouse Row has been the home of the Schuylkill Navy, named for the river on which its members row and race. The oar blades of the member organizations are around the sides of this stein, and their names on the bottom. The handle repeesents the traditional bronze oar lock used in the racing shell. Wash only by hand, and never in a dishwasher (never microwave). May the wind and current be with you. G. C. Hines, Maker
